Comes from a favourite childhood snack, “moo ping” /pork skewers

Söder = Södermalm, where it all began.

In June 2020 we started making Thai meal-kit-type takeaways from our tiny kitchen on Södermalm. We were trying to make Stockholm our new home after leaving our IT & Architect jobs in London.

Our aim from the beginning was simple, we wanted to cook Thai food that we love to eat ourselves. We use good quality ingredients and source produce locally where possible.

During the pandemic, we started Ping to share good Thai food. We first sold to friends and shared the menu on Instagram. Our weekly menu provided just one choice to pre-order from. Initially, we would cycle to deliver the food ourselves, allow pick-up from the apartment, and drop-offs at train stations.
